God he hoped it wouldn't be permanent. The possibility hits him suddenly and he can't help feeling terrified at that prospect. He may have hated his abilities, thinking of them more as a burden than anything else, but having them there and not being able to use them. He was hard pressed to think of anyway he could be made more useless than that.
He wants to take Feferi's hand but he knows most of her fingers are broken. "Are you.. bleeding anywhere do you need anything bandaged?" he tries to keep his thoughts on the present and practical. Part of him wants to believe they will escape, but another part of him thinks maybe they should just kill themselves now before they have to deal with whatever the Empress has planned. It's not a suggestion he plans on making anytime soon.
